To help the children understand the meaning of prayer, let each of them make their own DIY prayer pot. This activity can be carried out with discussions about what prayer is, why we pray, and specific biblical and prayer-related discussions. You can also adjust the craft to match your course. If you are teaching how to be grateful, please make a gratitude jar. In order to teach them to pay attention to all the positive factors God has given us, please make a blessing pot.

How to make a prayer jar
1. First, you need to add some color to your Jar!
To get a pure matte look: pour the glue into the paint cup. Add a few drops of liquid watercolor (choose from red, yellow, blue, green, orange, and purple). Mix it with glue. If you want darker colors, please add more watercolors. We use a little blue to get a light blue, and a little red to get a light pink. Use a paintbrush to brush the mixture on the jar. Note: It looks streaks at first, but it will be smooth after drying.
To get an opaque, shiny appearance: Pour acrylic paint into a paint cup. If you want, you can mix the colors. Paint the entire jar and wait until it dries.
2. Decorate your jar as you like. We added craft decorations, sticky gems, and some fabric fragments from old tie-dyed shirts to the top of the jar. You can wrap them in the jar and use sticky glue to hold them in place. We also cut some small linen ribbons and wrapped them in blue and purple jars. It is best to use hot glue to hold it in place. For the pink jar, we wrapped colorful hemp in the middle. Be sure to start with the rope at the back and finish at the back so that it won't show up.
3. Add some wooden pendants. First, decorate them. Tie a lark's head knot with colorful hemp rolls (find the middle of the rope, make a circle, and then pull it over), this is perfect for handling pendants. We also use hot glue to hold it in place.
Cross: coated with transparent gel paint to give it a rustic appearance
Angel: For a natural look, don't paint the pendant. You can add sticky gems and more.
4. Add a banner to mark your jar. Use paper jam and cut out triangles. Then write the letters P-R-A-Y on the marker. Glue the triangle to the twine with sticky glue. Wrap it in the jar. Now your prayer pot is complete and ready to use.
