My little girl (4 years old) is very happy to see the new
Easter style embroidered board. She immediately wanted to give it a go. They are for older children, so I don't want to start. But she was very persistent, so I agreed. The only instruction I gave her was to try to pass the stitches through the same side of the board each time.
This is a huge challenge. Her instinct is to turn the board around every time she takes a stitch. She succeeded most of the time, but occasionally the thread got around the edge. It actually adds characters, and the effect is the same. We had a great time and I worked with her and asked her to choose colors for my design. I am very happy to see her concentration and determination in sewing.
The end result is so sweet-we will definitely use them in Easter decorations.
Sewing is great for children. When they complete the project, they will not only feel a sense of accomplishment, but also encourage children to concentrate, concentrate, solve problems, and develop their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. This is also a useful skill for lifelong learning.
You will need: an embroidery board inspired by Easter, large needles and embroidery thread.
Thread the big needle into some embroidery thread, tie one end, and start sewing. If you have an older child who wants to complete more challenging tasks, ask them to cross stitch.
